Commentos! The Freshmaker!

You know that post I wrote yesterday about My-kell Boo-bleh? Here's the comment I got in response to it.

"Interesting article you got here. It would be great to read more about this topic. Thnx for posting that material."

Oh really? It would be great to read more about how Nordic Boy didn't know Michael Buble was real? Sorry, but there really isn't anything more to say about that. And would you really call anything I write here an "article?" Of course you would. This is fine, investigative journalism here, people. Oh, and also? Stupid ROBOT AUTOMATED COMMENTING MACHINE THING.

I wonder how many places that got posted? On how many blogs?

"I got fired today."
"Interesting article you got here. It would be great to read more about this topic. Thnx for posting that material."

"I have the flu and blew out a steaming snotball the size of a golf ball."
"Interesting article you got here. It would be great to read more about this topic. Thnx for posting that material."

"OMG I saw Robert Pattinson at the Dunkin' Doughnuts and as he leaned over the counter to choose his doughnut I walked behind him swiped the dandruff off his coat! And snorted it!"
"Interesting article you got here. It would be great to read more about this topic. Thnx for posting that material."

Today is De-Lurking Day. So come on out of the woodwork and say howdy, if you're so inclined. And ok fine, robots can de-lurk too.

I'm a librarian and musician in Ohio. Your posts are very personable even though I don't know you or your friends :)

I'm an editor in Dallas and I've been enjoying your posts via Google Reader for some time now!

I get spam-botted so much that I close comments after a month. A little while ago I went through and deleted almost 10,000 smap comments. It' took me about a month of deleting while watching tv on the couch. Probably not worth my time, but I hate to let them win.

I'll de-lurk long enough to say yeah, although I don't know you OR your friends, your writing makes me laugh. And I'm no robot!
By the way, how is your ground-cover-replacing-a-lawn coming?

I must confess...I am a lurker. Thanks for bringing some joy into the Internet!

I think I have commented once, so I'm not a lurker, right?
Anyway, I find your blog quite amusing and I love your recaps of discussions with Nordic Boy. I wish u remembered my funny conversations that well.
I do enjoy that the robot uses the slag "thnx" to make itself look more real.

Is it really delurking day? I'm not a lurker, but hi! Interesting article you got here.

De-lurking makes me anxious! But if it's de-lurking day... Hi! Not sure how long I've been reading, but I believe your blog came up as a suggested one on Google Reader. I just finished my MLS with a concentration in Youth Services and I want to be a librarian so so bad, which may be why I read librarians' blogs like crazy. Your posts always make me laugh and I love it when I see one come up on my reader!

Hi, I have been reading your blog for a while. I live and write in Nepal.

De-lurk? Oh fine, if you insist. I used to just eavesdrop on the conversations of others; but thanks to the beauty of the interwebs, I can now drop in on the blogs of librarians I don't know. MLIS in New Orleans

Lurk is a funny word. It's rhymes with Jerk.

And I typed "it's rhymes with Jerk." I must be nervous because I am lurking.

I've been reading for ages- via google reader- sorry I haven't commented before now! I'm studying to get my MLS, so we have something in common!

See, this is why I don't comment. Because my inner dork still comes through online.

I've delurked before, which makes me a re-delurker.

Interesting article you got here!

Interesting article you got here . . .

I haven't posted to my blog in a year in a half and the commenting robots posted this on my last entry:

I will not acquiesce in on it. I assume precise post. Expressly the appellation attracted me to study the whole story.

While reading it, I read the first two in a robot voice :)

I lurk as well. What can I say, I'm an introverted librarian!

I imagine this is what a delurking robot would say.

I have commented once before (because I'm brave like that) but I do what I'm told. So I am delurking. I love libraries (Director of a Midwestern community and technical college library) and pop culture...and witty titles that make me snort my soda accidentally.

Mindy said...

Since you insist :) I'm delurking to say that I've been reading for oh, a few years now! I'm an elementary librarian in KY and got here by way of a Google search for librarian blogs (in an attempt to find ones that weren't entirely filled with "what I've read" and the best Pulitzer prize winning books). Thanks for detailing your life and thoughts for us! You rock!

I imagine if I had the inclination to write about my own exploits, they would sound something like yours ... but less funny and with more pop culture references.

I've commented once or twice over several years...so I think that almost makes me a lurker. But I read everything!

Temporarily delurking from Canada to say "HEY! I like it here. It's all kinds of funny!"

Now I have the Mentos commercial song stuck in my head, but that's ok. I like it. Thumbs up and cheesy grin!

I think I comment enough to NOT be classified as a lurker. Not sure how I started reading your blog but it's been a few years now. Always amusing... love the addition of the bio girl character.

Anonymous said...

Wait, I'm a character? Sweet! Now I can feel justified in blaming things on my alter ego. "No, that wasn't me! BioGirl did it."

Maarjaara said...

De-lurking from the land of Oz - and I even get to virtually sit next to BioGirl! :-)

I've been reading your blog a few years now. It always makes me smile (still laughing about toothpaste spewing!). I always check the streets for you when I visit my daughter in Seattle. And I spend many happy hours in my local library. CJ

Dharmamama said...

Oh, man, I'm loving the idea of people in my life as *characters* for my blog! wow. I haven't written for a while... this might bring new life to my blog. Hmm... possibilities, possibilities...

Since I comment on a somewhat regular basis, I'm not delurking. Just wanted to say hello!

My robot comments are usually stuff about porn so consider yourself lucky.
